Your 2-day joining safari starts with a morning flight from Zanzibar to Arusha, where you will meet your safari guide and fellow travelers. Following a short safari briefing, you’ll join the shared 4×4 vehicle and begin your drive toward Tarangire National Park.
Upon arrival, enjoy an exciting game drive through the park’s open grasslands, seasonal swamps, and wooded areas. Tarangire is particularly well known for its large elephant populations and distinctive baobab trees. Keep your camera ready for sightings of lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, antelopes, and a wide variety of birdlife.
A picnic lunch will be enjoyed during the safari, surrounded by the peaceful beauty of the park. In the afternoon, continue exploring Tarangire before leaving the park and heading toward Karatu for your overnight stay.
Arrive at your lodge in the evening, where you can relax, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the following day’s adventure in the Ngorongoro Crater.
Lunch and Dinner
After an early breakfast, you’ll join your fellow travelers for the journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival, descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive in one of Tanzania’s most remarkable wildlife areas.
As you explore the crater floor, look out for an impressive variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, hippos, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, and, with some luck, the rare black rhinoceros. The crater’s diverse habitats provide excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing throughout the day.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated scenic location before continuing with the game drive. In the afternoon, ascend from the crater and begin the drive back toward Arusha with the group.
Upon arrival in Arusha, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your evening flight back to Zanzibar. Your 2-day joining safari ends with drop-off at your hotel in Zanzibar, bringing an exciting short wildlife adventure to a close.
