Tanzania Nyerere National Park (Selous) Safari

Upon arrival in the morning at Dar es Salaam Airport, you’ll be welcomed by your guide for a short safari briefing. Afterward, enjoy a scenic drive of approximately 5–6 hours heading to Nyerere National Park, formerly known as Selous. After check-in at the lodge, you’ll head out for a late afternoon game drive to get your first glimpse of the park’s abundant wildlife.

Spend the entire day exploring the vast wilderness of Nyerere National Park. This is one of Africa’s largest protected areas and offers the chance to spot diverse wildlife such as elephants, lions, wild dogs, buffaloes, and zebras in their natural habitat.

Start your day with a refreshing early morning game drive through the park’s scenic terrain. After returning to the lodge, enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure, with options to relax or join optional activities.

Begin the day with a peaceful boat safari along the Rufiji River, where you’ll spot hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species. Later in the afternoon, set out on a guided walking safari to experience the bush up close, led by an experienced ranger.

After breakfast at the lodge, you’ll be transferred back to Dar es Salaam, arriving in time for your onward travel or international flight.
