Meals

Dinner

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After an early breakfast, you will depart for Tarangire National Park for a full day of wildlife exploration. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed during the safari, allowing you to spend more time in the park and maximize your chances of encountering wildlife.

Tarangire is particularly famous for its large elephant herds, with groups of up to 300 elephants sometimes seen moving across the dry riverbeds in search of water and fresh vegetation. The park also supports a wide range of wildlife, including wildebeests, zebras, buffaloes, impalas, gazelles, hartebeests, and elands.

The park is an important refuge for wildlife during the dry season, when animals from surrounding areas gather around its remaining water sources. It is also an excellent habitat for predators and offers opportunities to observe a variety of species beyond the Serengeti ecosystem.

Another special feature of Tarangire is the presence of several dry-country animals that are less commonly seen elsewhere in Tanzania, including the distinctive fringe-eared oryx and the long-necked gerenuk.

After completing your game drive, you will leave the park and continue to Karatu, where you will check into your charming hotel, enjoy dinner, and spend the night.

Serengeti National Park

Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the spectacular Serengeti National Park, one of Tanzania’s most celebrated wildlife destinations and the stage for the famous Great Migration. Covering approximately 15,000 square kilometers, the park is characterized by expansive grasslands, diverse ecosystems, and an extraordinary variety of wildlife.

After an early breakfast, you will head into the park for a full-day game drive. As you explore different areas of the Serengeti, you may encounter large gatherings of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles across the open plains. The area also provides excellent opportunities to search for predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards, while elephants, giraffes, hippos, and numerous other species add to the experience.

Your experienced safari guide will select the best routes based on wildlife activity and current conditions, helping you discover both the animals and the changing landscapes of the park. Around midday, you will enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your afternoon exploration.

Later in the day, you will return to your lodge as the Serengeti begins to settle into the evening. Enjoy a relaxing rest and take in the peaceful sounds of the African wilderness before dinner and overnight.
