Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival in Tanzania, you will be met at the airport by our Heart of Serengeti representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Take the rest of the day to relax, recover from your journey, and prepare for your safari adventure.

After breakfast, your safari guide will collect you from your hotel and drive towards Tarangire National Park. The park is famous for its large elephant population, ancient baobab trees and diverse wildlife.
Enjoy a full-day game drive through the park, looking for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, lions and other wildlife around the Tarangire River and seasonal wetlands.
Later in the afternoon, continue to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast, drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater.
Spend the day exploring the crater floor, where the concentration of wildlife makes it one of Tanzania’s most rewarding game-viewing areas. Look out for lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas and, with some luck, the endangered black rhino.
Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by the crater’s dramatic scenery before ascending and continuing to your accommodation.

After breakfast, depart Karatu and drive to Lake Manyara National Park for your final wildlife experience on the mainland.
Although relatively small, Lake Manyara offers a remarkable variety of landscapes and wildlife. During your game drive, keep an eye out for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, monkeys and a wide range of bird species, including flamingos around the lake. The park is also known for its lush groundwater forests, open plains and dramatic escarpments.
Enjoy a picnic or lodge lunch before leaving the park and driving back to Arusha. From Arusha, you will continue to the airport for your flight to Zanzibar.
Upon arrival in Zanzibar, you will be met and transferred to your accommodation in Stone Town.

After breakfast, enjoy your final moments in Stone Town before departing for the northern coast of Zanzibar. Your journey takes you to Nungwi, one of the island’s most popular beach destinations, known for its white sandy beaches, turquoise waters and spectacular sunsets.
Upon arrival, check in at your beach hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing. You can enjoy the beach, swim in the warm Indian Ocean or take a walk around the village and discover the traditional dhow-building culture that Nungwi is known for.

As the day comes to an end, enjoy one of Zanzibar’s famous sunsets from the beach.

In the evening, experience a memorable Zanzibar sunset before returning to your hotel for your final night.
