Depending on your arrival time, you can relax at the hotel, enjoy the surroundings, and prepare for the exciting safari experience ahead. Arusha is the main starting point for many northern Tanzania safaris and provides a comfortable introduction to your adventure.

After breakfast, meet your professional safari guide and begin your journey to Tarangire National Park. The drive takes approximately two to three hours, depending on road and traffic conditions.

Tarangire is celebrated for its impressive elephant populations, giant baobab trees, and the river that attracts wildlife during the dry season. During your game drive, you may encounter giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, lions, and a wide range of bird species.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated location inside the park before continuing your wildlife exploration. Later in the afternoon, drive to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Following breakfast, depart Karatu and travel towards Central Serengeti through the scenic landscapes of northern Tanzania.

As you enter the Serengeti, the scenery opens into vast grasslands that support an extraordinary variety of wildlife. Keep watch for wildebeests, gazelles, zebras, giraffes, elephants, and predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas.

Your guide will conduct game viewing along the route, making stops whenever wildlife sightings and park conditions allow. After an exciting day, continue to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay in the Serengeti.

Spend a full day discovering the remarkable wildlife and landscapes of Central Serengeti.

After breakfast, head into the plains in search of the region’s resident wildlife. The area is known for its lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, and large herds of grazing animals. Birdlife also adds to the experience, with opportunities to see eagles, vultures, ostriches, and many other species.

Your guide will choose suitable routes based on recent sightings and conditions in the park. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the day’s game drive, then continue exploring before returning to camp for dinner and relaxation.

After breakfast, leave Central Serengeti and travel towards the Ndutu region, an important part of the southern Serengeti ecosystem and a renowned location for wildebeest calving.

Game viewing continues along the way, with opportunities to observe migrating wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and the predators that follow these herds. From approximately December to March, Ndutu can offer exceptional opportunities to witness the calving season, although wildlife movements vary with rainfall and grazing conditions.

Upon arrival, continue exploring the area before heading to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Enjoy a full day of wildlife viewing across the diverse habitats of Ndutu, including open plains, seasonal wetlands, and woodland areas.

The region is especially fascinating during the wildebeest calving period, when large herds gather on the grasslands and newborn calves can sometimes be seen. Predators such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas also inhabit the area, creating exciting wildlife-viewing opportunities.

After breakfast, set out with your guide to explore different parts of the region. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed during the game drive, allowing you to spend more time observing wildlife before returning to camp in the late afternoon.

After breakfast, depart Ndutu and travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying the changing scenery and possible wildlife sightings along the way.

Continue to the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, a vast volcanic caldera with grasslands, forests, lakes, and wetlands that support a remarkable concentration of wildlife. During your crater-floor game drive, you may see lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and, with luck, the endangered black rhinoceros.

Enjoy a picnic lunch during your visit before ascending from the crater and proceeding to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, travel to Lake Manyara National Park for your final wildlife experience in Tanzania.

If arranged and available, begin with the park’s treetop walkway, which offers an elevated perspective of the forest canopy. Continue with a game drive through the park’s varied landscapes, looking for elephants, giraffes, baboons, buffaloes, and numerous bird species. Lake Manyara is also known for its tree-climbing lions, although sightings are never guaranteed.

After your visit, transfer to the airport according to your flight schedule, bringing your eight-day safari adventure to an end.
