This 8-day adventure explores some of the most remarkable destinations along Tanzania’s Northern Safari Circuit. The journey includes four memorable days in Serengeti National Park, a vast wilderness famous for its spectacular scenery, abundant wildlife, and the annual movement of thousands of wildebeests and zebras.
From Serengeti, the safari continues to the extraordinary Ngorongoro Crater, where dramatic scenery and a high concentration of wildlife make game viewing particularly rewarding. You will then travel to Tarangire National Park, a smaller but distinctive wildlife area renowned for its impressive elephant populations and beautiful landscapes.
To complete the adventure, the itinerary includes a short nature hike leading toward the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, providing a refreshing final experience before the end of your Tanzanian journey.
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time and energy level, you may choose to join an optional short city tour, offering a first introduction to the local atmosphere, culture, and everyday life of Tanzania.
In the evening, your safari guide will meet with you for a detailed briefing about the upcoming days, including the planned activities and important information for the journey ahead.
If you arrive early enough, you may also have the option of taking a short hike to Kilima Moto, a scenic spot where you can enjoy beautiful views and watch the sun set over the surrounding landscape.
At around 8:00 AM, you will be collected from your hotel and introduced to your professional safari guide before setting off toward Tarangire National Park. The drive takes approximately two hours, with scenic views along the way.
Tarangire is renowned for its impressive landscapes, ancient baobab trees, and remarkable elephant population. During your game drive, you will have opportunities to observe these magnificent animals at close range and, if conditions allow, watch the fascinating interactions within elephant family groups.
Your guide will adjust the route according to recent wildlife sightings, maximizing your chances of encountering different species. The park is home to numerous herbivores, including giraffes, wildebeests, and zebras, while predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards may also be seen, although they are generally more elusive.
Around midday, you will stop at a scenic picnic area near the river to enjoy lunch while taking in the surrounding landscape and wildlife. Keep an eye on your belongings and food, as playful monkeys and baboons are often curious visitors around picnic sites!
After lunch, you will continue exploring Tarangire with an afternoon game drive. Around 5:30 PM, you will leave the park and drive to Ngorongoro Marera Mountain View Lodge, where you will enjoy dinner and settle in for a relaxing overnight stay.
