10-Day Wildlife Tanzania Safari with Zanzibar Beach

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, your private safari guide will meet you and welcome you to Tanzania. After assisting with your luggage, you will begin the drive toward Karatu, a charming highland town located near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Lake Manyara.

Once you arrive at your lodge, you can check in, enjoy lunch, and take some time to relax after your journey. You may choose to spend the afternoon by the swimming pool, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, or simply rest in the comfort of your accommodation.

Depending on your arrival time, there may also be an opportunity to explore Karatu with your guide. You can visit the local market, discover the area’s coffee-growing traditions, and experience a little of the everyday life and culture of the community.

Later in the afternoon, return to the lodge for dinner and a relaxing evening. Overnight in Karatu as you prepare for the exciting safari ahead.

After breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up from your lodge in Karatu at around 8:00 AM and set off toward the legendary Serengeti National Park. The journey takes you through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering beautiful highland scenery before continuing toward the Serengeti entrance at Seronera.

Once inside the park, the adventure begins with your first game viewing opportunities across the open plains and surrounding landscapes. Around midday, you will pause at a scenic picnic spot for lunch, allowing you to enjoy your meal while taking in the natural beauty of the Serengeti.

In the afternoon, continue with an extended game drive around the Seronera area, one of the park’s richest wildlife regions. Keep your eyes open for large gatherings of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles, while predators such as lions, cheetahs and leopards may be encountered along the way.

As the day comes to an end, you will make your way to your tented camp, arriving around 6:30 PM. After settling in, enjoy a freshly prepared three-course dinner before spending a relaxing evening around the campfire or in the comfort of your tent.

After an early breakfast, your guide will pick you up at around 6:30 AM and drive north across the Serengeti toward the Mara River area.

Around 11:00 AM, stop at a scenic viewpoint for a picnic lunch while watching the spectacular Great Migration unfold. Thousands of wildebeest and zebras gather near the crocodile-filled river, creating one of the most thrilling wildlife experiences in Tanzania.

Continue with an afternoon game drive along the riverbanks until around 4:30 PM, then return to your camp by 6:30 PM for dinner and an overnight stay beneath the Serengeti skies.

Begin the day with an early morning game drive at around 6:00 AM, exploring the Northern Serengeti as predators become active and wildlife grazes across the plains. Return to camp for breakfast before checking out.

At approximately 9:30 AM, drive toward Central Serengeti, passing dramatic kopjes and beautiful acacia-covered landscapes. Stop around midday for a picnic lunch before continuing toward the Seronera area.

In the afternoon, enjoy an optional game drive before arriving at your lodge around 4:30 PM. Relax and take in the surroundings, then enjoy dinner and a peaceful overnight stay in the heart of the Serengeti.

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up at around 7:00 AM and begin the journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy scenic views of the surrounding highlands, forests and Maasai communities along the way before reaching the crater rim at approximately 10:00 AM.

You will then descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a memorable game drive across its wildlife-rich floor. The crater is home to a remarkable variety of animals, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, hippos and, with some luck, the endangered black rhino.

Around midday, stop at a scenic picnic area near the hippo pool for lunch before continuing your exploration until the afternoon. Ascend from the crater and arrive at your nearby lodge around 5:30 PM for dinner and a relaxing evening.

After breakfast, check out from your Ngorongoro lodge at around 7:00 AM and begin the drive to Arusha. Travel through the scenic highlands, passing local villages and beautiful countryside before reaching Arusha at approximately 12:30 PM.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to Arusha Airport for your evening flight to Zanzibar. After arriving in Zanzibar, you will be met and transferred to your beach hotel.

Check in, settle into your accommodation, and enjoy a relaxing evening on the island.

After breakfast at your pre-booked accommodation, enjoy a free day to relax and experience Zanzibar at your own pace. You may spend the day by the beach or choose activities of your preference. Accommodation is included

Spend your final full day in Zanzibar at your leisure. Take time to enjoy the beach, explore the island independently, or arrange any activities you would like to experience. Overnight at your pre-booked accommodation.

After breakfast, check out from your Zanzibar accommodation and prepare for your journey home. Your driver will collect you at the agreed time and transfer you to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport.
