Welcome to Tanzania. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be welcomed by a representative from Heart of Serengeti ATS and transferred to your hotel in Arusha.
Depending on your arrival time, you can relax at the hotel, explore the surrounding area or simply prepare for the safari ahead.

After breakfast, your safari begins with a drive towards Tarangire National Park.
The park is well known for its impressive elephant population, ancient baobab trees and seasonal wildlife concentrations around the Tarangire River. During your game drive, you may encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, antelopes and, with some luck, lions and other predators.
You will enjoy a picnic lunch during the day before continuing your wildlife exploration. Later in the afternoon, leave the park and drive to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, continue towards Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive.
Although relatively small, Lake Manyara offers a remarkable variety of landscapes, from groundwater forests and open plains to the lake itself. The park is home to elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, baboons, hippos and numerous bird species. Depending on conditions and wildlife movements, you may also have the opportunity to see lions.
After your game drive, continue to the Karatu area, where you will spend the night in a peaceful lodge surrounded by the beautiful Ngorongoro Highlands.

After breakfast, leave Karatu and travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards Serengeti National Park.
The journey offers beautiful views of the highlands before the landscape gradually changes into the wide-open savannah of the Serengeti. Once inside the park, begin your first game drive while making your way towards your camp.
Serengeti is famous for its large populations of predators and plains animals, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, zebras and wildebeest. Wildlife sightings will depend on the season and animal movements.
Arrive at your camp in the evening and enjoy dinner under the African sky.

Today is dedicated entirely to exploring Serengeti.
After an early breakfast, head out with your guide for a full-day game drive across the plains and wildlife-rich areas of the park. Having an entire day here allows your guide to follow current wildlife activity and spend more time in areas where animals are concentrated.
You may encounter large herds of wildebeest and zebra, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes and several species of antelope. Serengeti is also an excellent destination for predator sightings, particularly lions, cheetahs, hyenas and, if fortunate, leopards.
A picnic lunch will be enjoyed during the game drive before continuing your exploration until late afternoon.
Return to camp for dinner and another night in the Serengeti.

Enjoy breakfast before departing Serengeti towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Today you descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. The crater floor contains a remarkable concentration of wildlife within a relatively compact area, making it one of the most rewarding places for viewing animals in Northern Tanzania.
During the crater drive, keep an eye out for elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, lions, hyenas and other wildlife. The area is also known for occasional sightings of the endangered black rhino.
After the crater experience, ascend from the crater and continue to your accommodation in Karatu for a relaxing evening.
