This 10-day safari combines some of the best wildlife destinations in Kenya and Tanzania. You’ll spend the first five days exploring Lake Nakuru and the Masai Mara before crossing into Tanzania through the Isebania border.
In Tanzania, the safari continues through Serengeti National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara, with plenty of opportunities to experience the incredible wildlife and landscapes of northern Tanzania.
At the end of the safari, you can either finish in Arusha or add 1–2 nights in Amboseli National Park and then return to Nairobi.
The itinerary is also flexible and can be arranged in reverse, starting in Arusha and ending in Nairobi.
Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up, followed by a drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, located in Kenya’s Great Rift Valley.
Famous for its beautiful landscapes and diverse wildlife, Lake Nakuru is particularly well known for its birdlife, especially flamingos that gather around the alkaline waters of the lake. The park is also an important sanctuary for both black and white rhinos, along with other wildlife such as buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, lions and leopards.
You will arrive around lunchtime and have time to enjoy lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Explore the park as you search for wildlife and enjoy the scenic views surrounding the lake.

After an early breakfast, you will drive to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve. Located within the greater Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara is one of Africa’s most renowned wildlife destinations, offering excellent opportunities to see a wide variety of animals in their natural environment.
The reserve is also an important part of the Great Migration, when large herds of wildebeest and zebras move through the area, followed closely by predators such as lions, cheetahs and leopards.
You will arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive to explore the reserve and search for its incredible wildlife.

After breakfast, depart from Masai Mara and travel to Serengeti National Park through the Isebania border. The journey takes most of the day, with a game drive in the Masai Mara in the morning and another game drive in the Serengeti during the afternoon.
Continue with a game drive en-route to your tented camp, enjoying your first views of Tanzania’s famous Serengeti.

Start the day with an early morning game drive in the Serengeti, when wildlife is most active, while enjoying a beautiful sunrise. After the game drive, return to camp for brunch before continuing to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Upon arrival, enjoy the spectacular views of the Ngorongoro Crater, home to a remarkable variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, buffaloes, zebras and the rare black rhino.
If time permits, you can also enjoy a walking safari in the Ngorongoro Highlands.

Start the morning with an early descent into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. Explore the crater floor and enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool before continuing with more wildlife viewing in the afternoon.
Later, drive out of the crater and continue to Lake Manyara for your overnight stay. Alternatively, you can visit Tarangire National Park, which is especially recommended between June and September.
There is also an opportunity to visit the Oldonyo Sambu Maasai Village along the way.

After breakfast, drive through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. Explore the park’s beautiful landscapes, lush forests and lakeside areas, where you may spot elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, impalas, hippos, baboons and blue monkeys. The park is also known for its diverse birdlife, flamingos and tree-climbing lions.
In the afternoon, continue to Arusha. The safari ends in Arusha or at Kilimanjaro International Airport.
