This Kilimanjaro Day Hike offers a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation in northern Tanzania. The tour begins with a scenic hike on Mount Kilimanjaro using the famous Marangu Route. After exploring the rainforest trails of Africa’s highest mountain, the journey continues to the beautiful Kikuletwa Hot Springs for a refreshing swim.
This experience is ideal for travelers who want to explore Kilimanjaro without committing to a multi-day climb.
After breakfast, transfer to Kilimanjaro National Park for trekking with local guide and packed lunch. We will start our trek from Marangu gate at 1830 meters near the village of Marangu and continue through the forest road to reach the Mandara hut (2700 m.). If we still have energy, we will continue in the nearby Maundi Crater before returning to the entrance gate. After reaching the entrace gate, our guide will transfer you back to your lodge for resting and overnight hoping for the next day adventure.
Lunch and Dinner
After your wonderful breakfast, Around 10:00hrs, you will be transferred to Kikuletwa hot spring for a swim, Kikuletwa hot spring is an oasis of geothermal warmth that bubbles up from underground. This spring is an ideal place to have leisure, the warm blue waters invite you to linger, the spring is well deep in the middle, among the other wonderfull feature is that even when you don’t want want to swim, you can just put your feel under the water and let the “Garra Rufa” do it all for you, these smart little fish are used by pedicures around the world, these are toothless small fish which suck and nibble your skin, tenderly removing dead skin cells through natural exfoliation. After enjoying you will be transferred to Arusha town or Airport so as you can proceed with your own arrangements.
