» Itineraries » Climb Kilimanjaro via Rongai Route – A Scenic & Less-Crowded Trek
The Rongai Route Kilimanjaro Trek is one of the most scenic and quiet ways to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. This route approaches the mountain from the dry northeastern side near the border of Kenya. Because fewer climbers use this trail, trekkers often enjoy a peaceful and remote mountain experience.
The Rongai Route Kilimanjaro Trek offers wide views across the African savannah and spectacular sights of the dramatic Mawenzi Peak, Kilimanjaro’s rugged secondary summit. The journey begins in forested areas before gradually ascending into alpine landscapes.
Unlike some of the busier Kilimanjaro routes, Rongai provides a quieter trekking atmosphere. This makes it an excellent choice for travelers who want a more remote adventure.
